Bayern have eased smoothly off the blocks since the Bundesliga's winter break with two wins in two, four goals scored and none conceded. Sunday's victory away to Stuttgart was FCB's 15th victory in 19 matches, and the Reds have already racked up 48 of a possible 57 points. Furthermore, a goal difference of +41 (48 for, seven against) is head and shoulders ahead of the rest.
Mario Mandzukic and Thomas Müller have both made significant contributions to the impressive record so far. Mandzukic has scored three of the club's four goals since the mid-season break, and lies second in the league scoring chart with 12 goals to date, already equalling his total for the whole of last season with Wolfsburg. Munich’s fourth goal in 2013 was put away by Müller, who is himself now up to 10 goals this term.
