FCB and Lufthansa extend partnership

The successful nine-year partnership between FC Bayern and Lufthansa is to continue for at least five more years after Germany's biggest club and the world of sport’s favourite airline agreed to extend their sponsorship agreement through to 2018.

FC Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, FCB acting board director Andreas Jung, Lufthansa AG executive board director Carsten Spohr and Lufthansa product and marketing senior vice-president Dr Reinhold Huber signed the new agreement at the Allianz Arena last Saturday while attending the club's Bundesliga meeting with Schalke.

The new deal means Bayern will continue to fly with Lufthansa, the club’s official carrier and platinum partner, to their many matches and appointments in the Bundesliga, DFB Cup and Champions League. The agreement provides the airline with a variety of marketing services including perimeter fence advertising at the Allianz Arena, banner ads on fcbayern.de, and promotional appearances by players and board members.
