You'd think that, at 34 years of age, a Bayern pro would have seen it all, but Claudio Pizarro added another memorable highlight to an already stellar career with his first-ever four goal haul in a Bundesliga match in the 9-2 rout of Hamburg. The Peruvian also provided two assists for a total of six scorer points, and overtook Karl-Heinz Rummenigge in the all-time Bundesliga scoring chart to go 10th on 164 goals.
“It was one of the best games of my career," the man known to all and sundry as Pizza told FCB.tv the following day. “I've not played for a long time, so four goals are wonderful," he had said the previous evening on his way out of the Allianz Arena. It was the first time he had scored for FCB in the Bundesliga since returning to the club last summer, bridging a long gap to his previous league goal in the famous red shirt back in May 2007.
