Arjen Robben is one of the 16 current Bayern internationals who are away from Munich at the moment, although the winger benefits this time round from relatively little travel, as the Netherlands are playing both Estonia and Romania in Amsterdam. “A change of air for a couple of days during the international break will do all the international players good," Arjen exclusively told fcbayern.de in a long and comprehensive chat. In the first part of our interview, the 29-year-old commented on club president Uli Hoeneß’s words of warning, and reflected on winning February's ARD Goal of the Month contest.
Interview with Arjen Robben, part one
fcbayern.de: Arjen, on Saturday you were announced as the winner of the ARD Goal of the Month for February thanks to your superb strike in the DFB Cup quarter-final against Dortmund. What feelings do you associate with this goal?
Arjen Robben: It was a terrific moment in a special match against a big rival. Throughout my career, there have always been moments which you can only describe as wonderful, which you enjoy and never forget. This goal is definitely one of them, not least because it was an important goal for my team.
