Jupp Heynckes says Bayern have consigned the 9-2 rout of Hamburg at the weekend “to the archive", as the full focus at FCB turns to the Champions League quarter-final first leg against Juventus on Tuesday evening (Live in English from 8.45 pm CET on free Web Radio). Heynckes and his men know the Turin giants are a vastly more daunting proposition than an out-of-sorts HSV last Saturday.
“This is the Champions League, it's not the day-to-day business of the Bundesliga. We're playing one of Europe's best teams who've dominated Italian football for the last two years," warned Heynckes. Juventus are comfortably clear of the rest in the Serie A standings, “and it's a clash between equals. Juventus are tough opponents. It'll be intense, full of pace, hard challenges and aggression. It’ll have everything you want from a genuinely big match," predicted the FCB coach prior to his team’s final pre-match training session on Easter Monday.
