Bayern keen to win and ‘finish the job’

The calculators have been put away, because the equation has become a simple one: if league leaders Bayern win away to Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday afternoon (Live in English from 3.30 pm CET on FCB.tv Web Radio), they will be crowned champions of Germany for the 23rd time, “and it would be an outstanding title triumph," said Matthias Sammer during the week, “it's always been our biggest target this season." Should FCB finish the 90 minutes at the Commerzbank Arena on top, they would claim the championship shield with six matches to spare, more than ever before in Bundesliga history.

“We can be crowned champions tomorrow and finish the job through our own efforts," remarked Jupp Heynckes, “so naturally, we go to Frankfurt looking to win." Nevertheless, the Champions League return against Juventus will be “in the back of our minds," acknowledged the coach, “it's important we make the semi-finals."
