Borussia Dortmund, Real Madrid and Barcelona are Bayern’s possible opponents in the Champions League semi-finals. After the 2-0 victory over Juventus Turin on Wednesday evening, the German champions are in the last four of Europe’s elite club competition for the seventh time. The semi-final pairings will be drawn at midday on Friday at the home of European football in Nyon, Switzerland. The first leg of the semi-final takes place on 23rd or 24th April and the second leg is a week later on 30th April or 1st May.

Mandzukic out of semi-final first leg
FCB must do without centre-forward Mario Mandzukic in the first leg of their semi-final. The Croatian international received his third yellow card of the competition during the 2-0 triumph in the second leg of the quarter-final in Turin, and so he is now suspended for the first game of the semi-final double-header. In contrast Dante, Philipp Lahm and Luiz Gustavo were all spared suspension, but they enter the semi-final already having two bookings.

Milestone match for Dante
For Bayern professional Dante, the match in Turin on Wednesday evening was particularly special. In the clash with Juventus, the Brazilian contested his 25th match in European club competitions. Overall it was the defender’s 10th appearance in the Champions League, all of them for Bayern.
