Van Bommel: Quality should see FCB through

Mark van Bommel spent four and a half seasons with Bayern, twice winning the domestic double and also captaining Germany's most successful club. The midfielder switched to AC Milan in January 2011, winning the Italian championship later that year. He previously collected league title honours with PSV Eindhoven in his home country of the Netherlands, and with Barcelona in Spain.

The 35-year-old returned to Eindhoven last summer and is still in with a good chance of adding another medal to his already extensive collection. Prior to Bayern's Champions League quarter-final return away to Juventus, fcbayern.de asked the experienced former Dutch international to assess Munich's chances of making the last four.

Interview with Mark van Bommel

fcbayern.de: Hello Mark, we haven’t heard from you in a while, how are you?
Mark van Bommel: Very well, thank you. I’m living with my family near Maastricht again and there’s always a lot going on. My three children do a lot of sport, and I’m still playing for Eindhoven. Time passes very quickly there.
