Bayern stars report back for training

Following a two-day break, action returned to the Säbener Strasse facility on Wednesday. To start things off, the players performed an intense 90 minute training session. “Everyone put in their greatest effort and, as always, it was extremely competitive,” Manuel Neuer explained in an Interview with fcbayern.de, which will be published on Thursday morning. After the session Philipp Lahm, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Co handed out autographs to the 2,500 fans who had made the pilgrimage to club headquarters. The squad is looking as fit as ever, with everyone but Toni Kroos and Holger Badstuber fit and participating in training.

Saturday’s title celebration
The celebration of the championship starts at 6 pm on Saturday in Marienplatz. Officially the ceremony starts at 7 pm, but if anyone would like to come early they are invited to, as there’s an entertainment programme from 6 pm. The team is expected to arrive at around 8.30 pm.

DFB Cup finalists may lose Felipe
VfB Stuttgart will be forced to play their remaining two league fixtures without Felipe. The 25-year-old pulled a muscle in the southern side’s 2-0 defeat against Greuther Fürth. VfB coach Bruno Labbadia is hopeful that Felipe will recover in time to play in the DFB Cup final against Bayern on 1 June 1 in Berlin.
