Neuer: I'll need to iron my lederhosen

Manuel Neuer hoisted the DFB Cup into the Berlin night sky two years ago with his former club Schalke, but on Saturday he will fulfil a lifelong dream when he lays hands on the Bundesliga championship shield for the first time. “It’ll certainly be a very special moment. I'll take it as it comes," the Bayern keeper exclusively told fcbayern.de.

It will be a day of firsts for the Germany number one, with his first title triumph, and a first appearance on Munich Town Hall balcony as a champion. The 27-year-old has his lederhosen at the ready, but revealed he is unsure of the whereabouts of the rest of his traditional Bavarian garb. Manuel also spoke about the upcoming finals against Dortmund and Stuttgart.

Interview: Manuel Neuer

fcbayern.de: Manuel, you resumed training on Wednesday. After two full days off, did you need a little time to get back into the groove?
Manuel Neuer: We warm up for a little longer than normal, 30 minutes or so, but after that we're immediately back up to speed.
