Three days after the frenetic championship celebrations in Munich, boss Jupp Heynckes summoned his men back to work on Tuesday morning, with only injured duo Toni Kroos and Holger Badstuber absent from the session. The workout following two days off took place at the Allianz Arena as part of a UEFA Media Open Day, with some 190 reporters from 18 countries observing the players at their labours.
“Our preparations for Wembley have begun," said coach Heynckes, 11 days prior to the Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund. At midday on Tuesday, Heynckes, captains Philipp Lahm and Bastian Schweinsteiger, and forwards Arjen Robben and Thomas Müller took questions from the throng of media representatives.
