Allianz Junior Football Camp 2013

'Once-in-a-lifetime' experience for young football talents from around the world

A unique six-day footballing adventure brought together youths from 25 countries.

The fifth Allianz Junior Football Camp took place in Munich from 7- 12 August 2013. Hosted by FC Bayern Premium Partner Allianz, this year's event was attended by the largest number of partcipants in the camp’s history - 75 youths from 25 different countries ranging from Brazil and Egypt to Brunei and Portugal - along with local participants from Germany.

Dr. Christian Deuringer, head of Global Brand Management at Allianz SE, expressed his delight in Allianz being the host of the Junior Football Camp for the fifth year running and added that he’s always surprised how football binds together these young people with such diverse cultural backgrounds.

The Allianz Junior Football Camp programme included a wide range of activities. During the six days, the participants not only showed off their footballing abilities in training sessions supervised by FC Bayern youth coaches, but also witnessed Bayern’s 3-1 victory over Borussia Mönchengladbach at the Allianz Arena in the opening match of the new Bundesliga season.

In addition, the youths enjoyed sightseeing trips to Munich, a visit to the FC Bayern Erlebniswelt and an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Allianz Arena. However, the biggest highlight was still ahead, when the group watched a Bayern first team training session, followed by a Meet & Greet with stars including Bastian Schweinsteiger, Manuel Neuer and Dante.

Letícia Marques Nunes from Brazil said: “First I had the chance to meet Dante, my favorite player from Brazil, and afterwards I actually gave my lucky charm to Bastian Schweinsteiger. It was a truly fantastic experience!”

This unique footballing adventure has resulted in a host of new friendships all over the world. We’re already looking forward to the Allianz Junior Football Camp in 2014!
