Bayern honoured for long-term values

At a ceremony on Tuesday lunchtime in the Palaishalle at the Bayerischer Hof hotel in central Munich, FC Bayern received the prestigious Werterhalt & Weitergabe (maintenance and dissemination of values) prize. FCB chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge personally accepted the prize awarded by law firm Dr. Lang & Partners and Proxxima Consulting.

“FC Bayern has been kissed by the muse. Good work is done on the pitch. An honour like this proves the financial and sociopolitical aspects are going well too. We have a wonderful club and we can be pleased,” commented Rummenigge, announcing that the trophy would be displayed in the FC Bayern Erlebniswelt.

Why have FC Bayern received the award? The citations delivered during the hour-long ceremony mentioned the club’s “matchless philosophy“ and “powerful identity in society, at home and abroad. Wherever you go the FC Bayern brand represents a value.“

Furthermore, the club is a “footballing legend” not merely focused on short-term success, but committed to “long-term and sustainable thinking and action. FC Bayern embodies contemporary and sporting history like no other German club,” commented Florian Streibl, a member of the Bavarian state assembly.
