Early starter Alaba resumes training

The Performance Centre at the Säbener Strasse facility is becoming a busier place by the day. Three days after early starters Sebastian Rode, Holger Badstuber und Tom Starke reported back for training, they were joined by full-back David Alaba. “I really enjoyed my vacation," the Austrian told fcbayern.de after completing a shakedown on Friday morning including jogging and work on the ball. The player has fully recovered from the pulled muscle he sustained in the final training session prior to the the DFB Cup final in mid-May. “I didn't feel any reaction at all," David reported. Alaba will now follow an individual workout schedule through to the official training restart next Wednesday, 9 July. The Austrian was warmly welcomed back to headquarters by assistant coach Hermann Gerland, who also returned to work on Friday following the summer vacation.
