Gianluca Gaudino will never forget Friday evening’s meeting with Wolfsburg because the gifted youth made his Bundesliga debut for FCB at the age of just 17 years, nine months and 11 days. Only three players were younger on their maiden top-flight appearance for the Reds: Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, David Alaba and Toni Kroos. Intriguingly, Gianluca’s father Maurizio was actually 13 days younger when he made his own first Bundesliga appearance.
World champions honoured
The Allianz Arena rose as one prior to the meeting with Wolfsburg when the FCB board honoured the club's six World Cup winners. Philipp Lahm, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Co received bouquets and a thunderous round of applause from the 70,000 at the ground.
