Thursday brought positive news of Thiago Alcántara as the Spain international has successfully undergone surgery to repair the partially torn ligaments in his right knee. The operation in Barcelona, attended by FCB team doctor Dr Lutz Hänsel, was completed without any complications. However, Thiago faces a long lay-off and is likely to be out of action for several months.
