Tuesday training live in English on YouTube

After a much-needed day off for rest and relaxation, the FC Bayern stars returned to work with renewed energy and vigour on Monday. Pep Guardiola split his men into two groups for training: most of the players from the starting line-up for the 1-0 win over Hertha BSC on Saturday performed regeneration drills on an adjacent pitch, with the rest of the squad completung an intensive workout on training pitch number two. If you’d like to check out the stars going about their daily work, make sure to visit fcbayern.de on Tuesday morning: we’re broadcasting live from the training ground with English commentary from 11:00 / 11 am CET via the club’s official YouTube channel.

Armani, Flyeralarm and Philips

As well as the day’s workout, a number of the players kept appointments with sponsors on Monday. Armani held a photo shoot, while Bastian Schweinsteiger, Thomas Müller and Co navigated a 3D scanner on behalf of Flyeralarm. Elsewhere, Philips shot a TV commercial featuring Arjen Robben and Manuel Neuer at the Bavaria Film studio complex.

FIFA World XI: Another four FCB men in the running

Following on from Manuel Neuer (goalkeeper), Philipp Lahm, Jérôme Boateng, David Alaba (all defence), and Bastian Schweinsteiger and Xabi Alonso (midfield), four more FC Bayern stars have been nominated for the FIFA World Team of the Year: Robert Lewandowski, Thomas Müller, Franck Ribéry and Arjen Robben are candidates in the forwards category. It means a total of ten Munich stars are in the running for a place in the global all-star team, chosen annually by the players’ international representative association FIFPro and world governing body FIFA. The eleven winners will be announced at the FIFA Ballon d'Or Gala in Zurich on 12 January 2015.
