FC Bayern has announced a two-year extension to 19-year-old Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s contract, keeping him at the club until 30 June 2018. For the immediate future, the Danish international will join Bundesliga club FC Augsburg on loan for the rest of the current season before returning to Munich on 1 July.
“The contract extension through 2018 is a clear sign for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg that FC Bayern is counting on him for the future,” commented FC Bayern München sporting director Matthias Sammer. “At the same time a loan spell with Augsburg until the end of this season is a good solution for him to gain immediate match practice before returning to us.”
