Now there’s a familiar face... Anatoliy Tymoshchuk dropped by to visit his former Bayern team-mates at the training camp in Qatar on Wednesday morning. The Ukrainian, who pulled on the famous red shirt from 2009 to 2013, chatted away at length and reminisced about the good old days with a number of personalities including Claudio Pizarro, Manuel Neuer and long-serving physio Fredi Binder. Tymo’s current club Zenit St. Petersburg are also in Doha at the moment for their mid-season boot camp. A number of Bayern old boys and friends have paid the FCB party a visit in recent days, including the Kovac brothers and former Bundesliga striker turned media pundit Jan Age Fjortoft.
Next session on Thursday afternoon
Following Wednesday morning’s workout, Pep Guardiola gave his men time off until Thursday afternoon. The players can now use Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning for treatment, massage and other leisure pursuits.
