Alaba ruptured the ligaments in his right knee during a Champions League meeting with AS Roma last November and was forced to undergo surgery to repair the damage.

The Lufthana charter jet touched down after an approximately one-hour flight well in time for the second winter friendly of the year, the evening meeting with Al-Hilal. The schedule for the day includes sponsor appointments for a handful of the FCB stars.
