Jérôme Boateng has received a three-match ban following his dismissal in Tuesday's Bundesliga home game against Schalke 04. The Germany FA disciplinary committee made its decision on Thursday. The central defender misses the league games against VfB Stuttgart (7.2.), Hamburg SV (14.2.) and Paderborn (21.2.). Boateng was sent off after committing a professional foul on Sidney Sam on 17 minutes.

On the road to recovery

The FC Bayern rehab coaches and physios had their hands full on Thursday even though the squad had the day off from training. Philipp Lahm, Franck Ribéry, Rafinha and Javi Martínez all continued their recovery programme in the performance centre. The rest of the players meet up on Friday for the final (closed) training session ahead of Saturday afternoon's Bundesliga away game at VfB Stuttgart (15:30 CET).
