World Cup winner Vieira at FCB

One of the world’s footballing greats called in at FC Bayern on Wednesday: Patrick Vieira watched the training session at Säbener Straße where he chatted with a number of the players and coach Pep Guardiola. The 38-year-old Frenchman is currently Head of the Elite Development Squad at Manchester City. During his playing career Vieira won the World Cup in 1998 and the European Championships in 2000 with France.

Getting ready for HSV match

The Wednesday morning training session was held behind closed doors. Guardiola again focussed on passing in today’s session. The aim is to improve the tempo and flow of the ball in the games coming up. “It’s a good approach,” said Mario Götze, “to work with the ball more and put in less running - every football player likes to hear that.”
