Badstuber makes comeback

After 154 days on the sidelines, Holger Badstuber made a long-awaited comeback to competitive action when he started Saturday afternoon’s 8-0 victory over HSV. The centre-back most recently featured for the first team against VfB Stuttgart back in September 2014 but was forced into a lay-off lasting many months due to ruptured tendons in his left thigh.

Irresistible Arjen heading for personal best

Arjen Robben is in unstoppable form at the moment. The Dutchman netted twice against Hamburger SV and is now on 14 league goals for the season, level with the Bundesliga’s current top scorer, Alexander Meier of Eintracht Frankfurt. Robben is also only two short of his own personal best for a season, his total of 16 goals in 2009/10.

Milestones for Alaba and Lewandowski

Two Bayern men passed personal milestones by featuring in Saturday’s meeting with Hamburger SV. David Alaba made his 100th Bundesliga appearance in the famous red shirt, and Robert Lewandowski clocked up his 150th outing in the German top flight. Congratulations to both FCB stars!
