Fourteen weeks after sustaining a broken ankle in training, FCB club captain Philipp Lahm began running again on Monday. At the same time as his team-mates’ final pre-match training session prior to the flight to Lviv for Tuesday’s Champions League meeting with Shakhtar Donetsk, the defensive specialist spent a half-hour completing laps of the Säbener Strasse training ground, before continuing his sports rehab programme in the performance centre. Lahm fractured his right ankle during a routine workout back in November last year.
