The FC Bayern Munich players, coaches and support staff observed a minute's silence before Wednesday lunchtime's training session in memory of the 150 passengers and crew who lost their lives the previous day when Germanwings flight 4U-9525 crashed in the southern French Alps.

In the evening, the Germany team will wear black armbands in their friendly international meeting with Australia. A minute's silence in memory of the victims will be observed prior to kick-off in Kaiserslautern. "We as the footballing family owe it to the victims and their families to share in their grief," commented German FA (DFB) President Wolfgang Niersbach.
