A high-ranking delegation from France are FC Bayern’s guests at the moment. A group of coaches headed by former FCB favourite Willy Sagnol and three-time World Player of the Year Zinedine Zidane are spending time at the Säbener Strasse facility until Wednesday. The other members of the seven-strong group are Claude Makelele, Bernard Diomède, Claude Le Roy, Franck Thivilier and Guy Lacombe. At the start of the three-day visit on Monday, the French coaches were received by FC Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. Sagnol, Zidane and Co will observe Pep Guardiola at work in training on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Hard-working Martínez
Pep Guardiola gave his men Monday off, but Javi Martínez was out on the pitch hard at work anyway. Fitness coach Lorenzo Buenaventura supervised the Spaniard as he continued his sports rehab programme following a cruciate ligament injury. The midfielder was also able to complete a few drills on the ball.
