What a thrill for Bayern fan Michael Freudlsperger! The 16-year-old youth player has won the vote for Goal of the Month in March organised by popular TV programme Sportschau. Michael, who plays for district league club TSV Feichten, put two penalties past Tom Starke at half-time in the meeting between Bayern and Borussia Mönchengladbach, one of them a very well-taken spot-kick. In the viewer vote, Down Syndrome youth Freudlsperger even finished ahead of David Alaba. He received his winners' medal from Bayern captain Philipp Lahm.

US fan meets Götze and Müller

He had the time of his life celebrating Bayern's victory over Frankfurt, and after the match he even met his idols in person: the Make-a-Wish foundation granted William Stuhlreyer from California a magical wish on Saturday afternoon. The 15-year-old suffers from Barth Syndrome, a serious and rare genetic disorder, but was among the capacity crowd at the Allianz Arena cheering on his favourite team. Even better, he met Mario Götze and Thomas Müller afterwards. "He's a cool kid," said Götze, and Müller gave William his shirt. The young Californian was thrilled: "The Bayern players are the best," he declared.
