“If you lose only two of the first 30 matches you definitely deserve the German championship title,” said Reinhard Rauball, president of the German Football League (DFL) on Monday. DFL CEO Christian Seifert called the championship triumph “absolutely deserved. FC Bayern are clearly an important flagship for the Bundesliga.” Germany coach Joachim Löw added congratulations of his own. “I'm delighted for Pep Guardiola and our national team players in particular, as they’ve proven hungry for success even after winning the World Cup,” said Löw. “The consistency, the confidence and the determination that Bayern showed during this season are very impressive.”
