Munich brewery Paulaner, FC Bayern’s exclusive beer partner, will remain a premium sponsor of Germany’s most successful club until at least 2021.
Munich, Wednesday 8 July 2015: FC Bayern München and Paulaner Brauerei today formally extended their partnership over a lunch engagement at the Nockherberg tavern. Both Munich institutions and their fans now hope to be toasting many trophy triumphs with Paulaner Weissbier through 2021.
FC Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge expressed delight at the extension of the brewery’s support: “For many years, Paulaner has been a partner that suits us perfectly. Just like FC Bayern, Paulaner is winning more and more friends at home and around the world. We are especially pleased that thanks to unique promotions such as the Paulaner Cup, Paulaner makes the partnership a vivid experience for our fans.”
Paulaner executive chairman Roland Tobias regards the long-term partnership as an expression of shared values: “We are proud of our Munich home and are pleased to be known and loved around the world as the epitome of the Bavarian way of life. The brewery and the club, both steeped in tradition, have celebrated successes together for the last 12 years. The FC Bayern München stars mark their championship and cup triumphs with legendary Weissbier showers. The club’s fans are central to the partnership: spectators at the Allianz Arena can enjoy Paulaner beer specialities, while fans may toast their heroes with the exclusive “FC Bayern Edition” and earn the chance to play against the FC Bayern stars via the world’s biggest footballing casting, the Paulaner Cup.
