Götze throws first pitch at Dodgers game

Bayern and Germany man Mario Götze has tried his hand at baseball, albeit in a very brief appearance at a Major League Baseball (MLB) game in the USA. The 24-year-old is on vacation in the States at the moment and was handed the honour of throwing the ceremonial first pitch to start the meeting between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Mets. “What an experience!” Götze posted on his Facebook page, although after tossing his pitch way too high, he himself admitted “I need to improve.” Many of Mario’s team-mates are already back at work in Munich, but Götze and most of the cub’s other current internationals are not due back at base until 11 July.
