Claudio Pizarro is returning to Werder Bremen. The 36-year-old Peruvian, whose contract with FC Bayern expired in June, signed a contract with Bremen until the end of the season after passing a medical. It will be Pizza’s third spell with Bremen: he played there from 1999 to 2001 and from 2008 to 2012, scoring 89 goals. With 176 goals in 383 matches Pizarro is the most successful non-German scorer in Bundesliga history. FCB officially bid him farewell before the last home match against Bayer Leverkusen.

The goal is to encourage European citizens to exercise more and to play sport, thereby promoting a healthy lifestyle.
