On Monday evening Thomas Müller and Robert Lewandowski scored twice each for their national teams. In the scorer rankings of the Euro 2016 qualifiers the two FCB pros are in a head-to-head race. Before the last two matches in October Lewandowski tops the rankings with 10 goals, followed by Müller with eight goals. Edin Dzeko (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and Kyle Lafferty (Northern Ireland) have scored seven times each.
Neid calls up four FCB women
Melanie Behringer, Leonie Maier, Sara Däbritz and Melanie Leupolz are part of the Germany women's 21-player national squad. Silvia Neid's team start the Euro 2017 qualifiers against Hungary in Halle (Saale) on 18 September. Four days later, on 22 September, they encounter Croatia away in Zagreb. The other opponents in Group 5 are Russia and Turkey. The eight group winners as well as the best six runners-up qualify directly for the 2017 finals.
