Lewandowski resumes training

FC Bayern will probably be able to call on Robert Lewandowski for Tuesday evening’s top Bundesliga clash with VfL Wolfsburg. The Pole missed Saturday’s Darmstadt trip with an ankle injury sustained in the midweek Champions League meeting with Olympiacos, but resumed the team training programme on Sunday.

Götze’s milestone

Mario Götze made his third start of the current Bundesliga campaign on Saturday – and he passed a milestone in doing so as it was his 100th appearance for FC Bayern. The 23-year-old was not among the scorers in the champions’ 3-0 win against Darmstadt, but he still has an impressive 32 goals in two seasons with Munich so far.

Stieler named referee

Tobias Stieler from Hamburg will referee Bayern’s first home game of the 2015 Oktoberfest. The attorney took charge of FCB’s 2-1 victory away to Hoffenheim on Matchday 2 and has refereed a total of eight matches involving the Reds, all of which ended in Bayern wins. Stieler’s assistants for the Wolfsburg clash are Patrick Ittrich and Sascha Thielert, with Mike Pickel as the fourth official.
