There was no official team training on Thursday, but some of the players used the time to work individually on their fitness. Franck Ribéry for instance increased his training load as he continues his recovery from an ankle injury. Besides a few sprints the Frenchman exercised cautiously with the ball -- albeit in running shoes.

Mehdi Benatia too has made progress. The Moroccan, who has been sidelined for the last few weeks with a thigh injury, again completed drills with the ball. Javi Martínez and Kingsley Coman worked towards a comeback after muscular problems. Both are expected to be fit for the match against Köln on Saturday.

Sebastian Rode, struggling with a hamstring problem, is not yet fit. "It's a long-term problem. The Cologne match is out of question for me," the former Frankfurt pro told fcbayern.de. On Thursday he managed a few laps of the Säbener Strasse ground.
