The Säbener Straße facility is finally a hive of activity again. FCB started the run-in to this weekend’s match away to Werder Bremen on Wednesday with most of the players back from international duty. Only Arturo Vidal and Douglas Costa are still absent as they were clocking up wins with their countries on Tuesday night.
“We’re glad to be back,” said Manuel Neuer ahead of the training session, “we want to carry on where we left off before the international break.” Bayern have the chance to show what they can do at Bremen on Saturday, “we’ve had some great results there over the years,” recalled Neuer. Another three points are the target as the World’s Best Goalkeeper declared: “We want to extend our record start.”
