Olympiacos travel to Munich for Tuesday's Champions League group match without a warm-up in the league, as Saturday's top match between second-placed Panathinaikos and table-toppers Olympiacos was abandoned shortly before kick-off. According to media reports, fans of both sides rioted and fought the police whilst throwing fireworks onto the pitch. Half an hour after the scheduled kick-off time the referee decided to abandon the match due to the danger.
Minute's silence in the Bundesliga
The German footballing family commemorated the victims of the Paris terror attacks with a minute's silence. Prior to kick-off in all the games in the first and second tier, silence was observed in all stadiums, including the Veltins Arena where FC Bayern faced Schalke 04. All players in the top two German divisions also wore black armbands.
300 sell-out crowds in a row
FC Bayern have once again set a new, historic record. The match away to Schalke on Saturday was the Reds' 300th Bundesliga fixture in a row in front of a capacity crowd. The German record champions have time and again played to full houses for almost nine years now. The last FCB match in front of empty seats was a goalless draw against VfL Bochum on 30 January 2007.
