Thomas Müller's opener in the 2-0 victory over Hertha Berlin was a special goal for a number of reasons. First, it was Bayern's 2,300th Bundesliga home goal. Second, after 14 matchdays Müller has already equalled his personal best for a league season (13 goals). He has now scored in five competitive fixtures in a row, equalling another personal record. In the all-time FCB rankings the Germany forward is now ahead of Paul Breitner (83): Müller has scored 84 Bundesliga goals and is tenth on the list, only one short of Lothar Matthäus (85).

Ball magnet Alonso

Midfielder Xabi Alonso touched the ball 174 times against Hertha, a new best mark in the current campaign.

Day of the volunteers

On Matchday 14 the German FA (DFB) and the German Football League (DFL) said "thanks for volunteering." For the 16th time the work of 1.5 million helpers was recognised under the motto "Our amateurs. Genuine pros" in the 68 matches in the three German top tiers and the Allianz Women's Bundesliga.
