Douglas Costa has taken an important step in his recovery from injury, as the Brazilian winger completed a gentle running session out on the Säbener Strasse practice ground on Tuesday lunchtime. Costa put in a few laps of the facility while his team-mates threw themselves into the final pre-match workout prior to the Champions League trip to Zagreb. The fleet-footed wide man has been hampered recently by a stubborn hamstring injury. Speaking in the build-up to last Saturday's trip to Mönchengladbach, Pep Guardiola said Costa might "possibly" be an option for the last Bundesliga fixture of the calendar year away to Hannover, but the Bayern coach also insisted he was unwilling to take "any risks at all" with his injured players.
