Laser show and free Glühwein

The Allianz Arena will be a blaze of festive colour for the last home match in 2015! After the final whistle in the DFB Cup Round of 16 match against Darmstadt (4,000 tickets still available!) the crowd is in for a special attraction, just as in previous years: a Christmas laser show. Additionally, every ticket holder will receive a voucher for a free Glühwein or punch when entering the stadium, to be redeemed at the appropriate catering stands. Come a little earlier and leave a little later – that’s the motto for Tuesday evening!

Cup premiere against Darmstadt

On Tuesday the FC Bayern and SV Darmstadt first teams cross swords for the first time in a cup match. However, Darmstadt took on the FCB reserves in August 1993. The Munich ‘amateurs’, as they were then known, won 2-1 after extra time in the second round at the Böllenfalltor Stadium.

Darmstadt winless against FCB

Darmstadt's yield against FC Bayern is poor. The teams have met five times in the Bundesliga, with four Bayern wins and one draw, the goal difference being 13-4. In the 1964/65 season, before Bayern sealed promotion to the Bundesliga, the clubs faced off in the Regionalliga. The Reds posted two clear-cut victories, winning 10-0 and 7-2.

Siebert to take charge

Daniel Siebert is the man with the whistle on Tuesday. The 31-year-old has taken charge of one Bayern match this season, which also involved a team from Hesse: the goalless draw in Frankfurt. Siebert's assistants are Florian Heft and Jan Seidel, with Mike Pickel acting as fourth official.
