Robert Lewandowski's gala against Wolfsburg earned him a place in the Guinness Book of Records, and now Jérôme Boateng has joined his team-mate on the roll of honour. While Lewy was recognised for his five-goal haul a few weeks ago, Boateng received the accolade for his record streak of 56 consecutive Bundesliga matches without defeat from 3 November 2012 to 19 December 2014. The Germany international received his certificate at the Säbener Strasse on Wednesday.

What an accolade for David Alaba and Thomas Müller! The FCB pros made the UEFA Champions League team of the group stage, as European football’ governing body announced on Wednesday morning. Alaba and Müller are the only players to represent the Bundesliga in the team.
Bochum at the Säbener Strasse
On Wednesday morning onlookers were treated to the sight of two professional teams working out. At the same time as the Bayern pros, second division VfL Bochum trained on an adjacent pitch. Bochum take on TSV 1860 München in the DFB Cup Round of 16 at the Allianz Arena from 8.30 pm.
