'Pan' Lewy and his goals

FC Bayern can rely on Robert Lewandowski at the moment. After his brace in the restart match away to Hamburg the Pole once more added his name to the scoresheet twice in the 2-0 victory over Hoffenheim. Pan (Polish for “Mister”) Lewy is in top form, as the following stats prove:

27 goals in 28 fixtures is Lewandowski's yield so far this season. He has already topped his total for the whole of the last campaign, 25 goals in 49 matches.

Lewandowski has passed his number of Bundesliga goals in the last campaign (17), scoring 19 in 18 matches.

In the scorer rankings Lewandowski on 19 goals is the only remaining competitor to Dortmund's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who is a single goal ahead on 20.

Lewandowski has scored 52 goals in competitive fixtures for FCB, and needed only 77 games for this.

Lewandowski set a new personal record against Hoffenheim: he took 12 shots on goal, his best mark in competitive fixtures for a German team. This is also the highest number in the current campaign: the FCB striker surpassed Stuttgart's Daniel Didavi on 10 shots on goal.

Lewandowski has scored 12 goals in 10 matches against Hoffenheim keeper Oliver Baumann, his highest total against any Bundesliga keeper.

Lewandowski (19) and Thomas Müller (14) are the most successful scorer duo in Bundesliga history at this point in the season. They have 33 goals, surpassing Nürnberg's twosome Franz Brungs (20) and Heinz Strehl (12) on 32 in the 1967-68 season by one goal.
