FC Bayern’s Doha training camp is over. After a return flight lasting approximately six hours, Pep Guardiola and his men will be back in Munich on Wednesday evening. “It’s been a fantastic training camp, we’ve got through some very good work,” Matthias Sammer said prior to take-off from Qatar. Jérôme Boateng left the training camp on Tuesday to keep a private appointment. Backup keeper Sven Ulreich picked up a foot injury in the final training session. He will attend a medical in Munich to assess the extent of the damage.
Lewandowski fourth in World Player vote
Lionel Messi won the Ballon d’Or for a record fifth time with 41.3 percent of the votes cast in the ballot for World Player of the Year, with Cristiano Ronaldo second on 27.8 percent and Neymar in third on 7.9 percent. No FC Bayern player made it onto the final shortlist, but Robert Lewandowski did finish a very creditable fourth on 4.2 percent. Thomas Müller came sixth on 2.2 percent and Manuel Neuer seventh with 2 percent.
