Boateng sustains groin injury

Jérôme Boateng is doubtful for FC Bayern’s next Bundesliga match against Hoffenheim on 31 January. The centre-back sustained a groin injury in the 2-1 victory away to Hamburg and had to be replaced 55 minutes into the contest. A detailed examination will follow in Munich at the weekend.

50th victory for Javi Martínez

Javi Martínez profited from Boateng's knock. The Spaniard replaced the world champion after 55 minutes, making his 58th Bundesliga appearance after which he celebrated his 50th win in the German top tier, setting a new record. No other player has needed so few games to boast 50 wins. The defensive all-rounder surpassed the old record of 71 matches held by Arjen Robben, Andreas Ottl and Sven Bender.

The first FC Bayern Erlebniswelt Family Day of 2016 on Sunday 24 January is dedicated to creativity, for visitors big and small. Grown up visitors on the day can immerse themselves in the enthralling history of FC Bayern and marvel at the remarkable “Art Works - Young Israeli Art on a world tour” on the executive box level at the Allianz Arena. Meanwhile, younger guests will explore their creative talents as they fashion works of art of their own, guided by experts from Munich’s Kinderkunsthaus (Kids’ Art House).

2016 FC Bayern Youth Cup gets underway

The first qualifying tournaments for the 2016 edition of the FC Bayern Youth Cup start in Thailand and India this weekend. Some 1,000 participants are expected to play in each of the tournaments in New Delhi and Bangkok. The tournament winners will cross swords in the ensuing final to determine who will represent their country in the grand final at the Allianz Arena on 15 May. FC Bayern Munich, the Bundesliga, adidas and Wangkanai wish all participants every success!
