Accolade for FCB KidsClub

The FC Bayern KidsClub has earned a prestigious award. Official mascot Berni attended a ceremony at the Neue Pinakothek in Munich on Tuesday to receive the “IF Public Value Award” in the “Living Together in the 21st Century” category. According to the citation, the FCB KidsClub is a project that “makes our society better, as it teaches kids important identification values and thus serves as a role model.”

The FC Bayern KidsClub for children aged from six to 13 was launched some five years ago and currently has almost 39,000 members. The youngsters receive an array of benefits in return for an annual membership fee of just €19: there is a KidsClub fan block at the Allianz Arena, and a dedicated viewing area for open training sessions at the Säbener Strasse. Events including football camps and KidsClub press conferences are held on a regular basis, with members receiving the FCB KidsClub Magazine by post three times a year (German language).
