Five weeks after undergoing knee surgery, Javi Martínez took part in team training on Friday for the first time since his op. The 27-year-old completed the warm-up and a series of tactical drills before continuing with an individual programme. “This is great news. Welcome back, Javi!” declared Pep Guardiola. Martínez has been sidelined since early February after the op to repair meniscus damage in his left knee.
