‘Of course it's been a beautiful day’

FC Bayern concluded the 2015/16 Bundesliga season with a 3-1 victory over Hannover 96, a perfect farewell for Pep Guardiola after three years in the Bayern dugout. “Of course it's been a beautiful day,” Guardiola commented after his last home match as Bayern coach. “We'll celebrate tonight, and with the fans on Marienplatz tomorrow. Then we'll start preparing for the cup final against Dortmund.”

Reaction to Bayern v Hannover

Pep Guardiola: “Of course it's been a beautiful day. These matches are usually unpleasant, the level of focus isn't so high any more. But it was a great match, Hannover played well. I'm pleased, all credit to the team. We'll celebrate tonight, and with the fans on Marienplatz tomorrow. Then we'll start preparing for the cup final against Dortmund.”

Daniel Stendel (Hannover coach): “It's a decent conclusion for us. It became clear that it's very, very hard in Munich, the quality is very, very high. Nevertheless we wanted to attack and defend high up the field. We had a few chances, so I'm not dissatisfied.”
