Munich was blessed by blazing sunshine on Wednesday. The summer feeling is just perfect for a Brazilian, thought Paulo Sérgio, and visited the Säbener Strasse facility to watch the public training session at his former club FC Bayern. The 46-year-old will also be present for the championship celebrations at the Allianz Arena next weekend. Sérgio played for FCB from 1999 to 2002, winning the Champions League and the Intercontinental Cup under coach Ottmar Hitzfeld in 2001. The former striker now has a coaching licence and is involved in the international charity Stars4Kids, as is his ex-club.
Milestone badge for FCB
FC Bayern wrapped up the 26th German championship title in their history last weekend. The German record champions have won the Bundesliga for the 25th time since its foundation in 1963. On Wednesday the German football league (DFL) announced that it will honour the club for this achievement: to mark this milestone the Bayern stars will wear a special badge on their sleeves next season.
