The Germany internationals were greeted by blazing sunshine as they started preparing for Euro 2016 in Ascona on Wednesday morning. Bayern pro Mario Götze was among the 16 outfield players on the training ground. Eleven days after sustaining a fractured rib the scorer of the winning goal in the 2014 World Cup final completed exercises with the ball. Four days on from Bayern’s DFB Cup triumph, Thomas Müller performed running drills, while Manuel Neuer opted for regeneration at the hotel. “We will raise or reduce the workload for the players on an individual basis,” Joachim Löw announced beforehand. There was good news for Germany captain Bastian Schweinsteiger as he continued his individual rehab in the fitness centre after sustaining a knee injury.
New home for mascot Berni
Bayern mascot Berni has a new home. Where? At the Allianz Arena of course, and at the FC Bayern Erlebniswelt to be precise. He has taken up residence in a house featuring many highlights for all Berni fans. From now on visits to the FC Bayern club museum will be even more exciting for kids. The playing area within the exhibition has been completely remodelled and adjusted to the interests and hobbies of our youngest visitors. Kids can learn everything about the bear's life in the two-storey Berni house. Many surprises await in the treasure cave, and there are numerous playing areas in the living room. Young Bayern fans can also enjoy an audiobook on the cosy bear bed. The guests leave Berni's house in the proper way: a slide provides the exit. Drop by and discover Berni's house!
