Kingsley Coman turned in a convincing display on Monday evening, playing a major role in France's 3-2 victory over Cameroon. The Bayern winger set up Blaise Matuidi's opener when he crossed the ball after a mazy dribble. Olivier Giroud and Dimitri Payet scored the other goals for the Euro 2016 hosts. Vincent Akoubakar and Bundesliga pro Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting netted for Cameroon, levelling the scores twice. Coman left the pitch to warm applause with a quarter-hour to go. France will contest their dress rehearsal for the EURO 2016 against Scotland on Saturday.
Lewandowski captains Poland
Poland head coach Adam Nawalka announced his final squad to contest the Euro finals on Monday evening. As expected Bayern striker Robert Lewandowski will take on Germany in the group phase as Poland captain. The Poles prepare for the tournament with friendlies against the Netherlands in Gdansk on 1 June and against Lithuania in Krakow on 6 June before setting off for their La Baule team base. Lewandowski & Co cross swords with Germany, Ukraine and Northern Ireland in Group C.
Ancelotti's debut sold out
Carlo Ancelotti's first match as Bayern coach was sold out after 71 minutes, SV Lippstadt 08 announced on Monday. Lippstadt take on FC Bayern in a friendly on 16 July 2016, only five days after the Reds report back for pre-season training. The hosts advise all interested fans to repeatedly check SV Lippstadt's official online ticket shop until the matchday. Experience has shown that tickets are returned occasionally.
