A number of FC Bayern youth coaches have travelled to the US again to work with homegrown talents in training camps. The coaches visit North and South Carolina, Georgia and New York in cooperation with Global Premier Soccer, FC Bayern's official youth development partner. The two Residential Camps are the highlights of the two-week tour. Some 100 talents of the FC Bayern ID Programme participate. The most talented youngsters will spend a week training with an FCB youth team in Munich at the beginning of July.

Coman fit for Iceland

Good news for EURO 2016 hosts France! Kingsley Coman has recovered from his ankle injury. The Bayern winger completed Wednesday's public training in Clairefontaine without problems. Coman was brought on at half-time and subbed off shortly before the final whistle after sustaining a knock to the ankle in Sunday's last sixteen victory over Ireland. France take on Iceland in the quarter-finals at Stade de France on Sunday at 21.00 CET.

Kimmich's home club booming

The hype surrounding Germany youngster Joshua Kimmich at the EURO 2016 has caused chaos at his home club. “We're overwhelmed. The excitement surpasses all our capacities,” said Ingo Ohnmacht, chairman of VfB Bösingen. The delight at Kimmich's success is enormous: “We're extremely proud.” Kimmich grew up in Bösingen, taking his first footballing steps at the local club. “He visits us at the club or watches a match once in a while,” commented Ohnmacht, who fears that the excitement about the starlet will only grow after the Euro finals: “We'll probably see him less frequently then.”

Kassai in charge of last eight cracker

Experienced match official Viktor Kassai from Hungary will be the man with the whistle in the heavyweight encounter between Germany and Italy in Bordeaux on Saturday at 21.00 CET. The Germans will have mixed feelings about the news. In 2010 Kassai was in charge of Germany's 1-0 defeat to Spain, who went on to win the tournament, in the 2010 World Cup semi-finals. The last success for a German side Kassai oversaw was FC Bayern's 4-0 victory over FC Barcelona in the 2012/13 Champions League semi-finals.
